Triplet Update
Don't ask...no "final" names yet but i've included the possibles above.  Renee doesn't seem to be in a big rush and appears to be looking for personality matches with the names.  Ultimately, they'll have names before we leave the hospital.

Speaking of which, the girls are doing great.  They graduated yesterday from the NICU to the ISCU (infant special care unit).  This is how the nurses explained the difference to us.  NICU = Keep the babies alive.  ISCU = Get the babies to eat and gain weight.  Ummmm...glad we graduated to the ISCU but we'll miss the phenomenal nurses up there!  Yesterday was the first day all the babies gained weight.  No estimate on when they might come home but we are fairly certain it will not be all together.  It just depends on who meets the criteria first.

Criteria to come home:
1. I can keep myself warm when dressed appropriately.
2. I can eat the proper amount of food and gain weight.
3. I no longer have "events" (holding my breath, forgetting to breath, breathing too fast, etc) and i'm pretty darn stable.

Grace Update
Grace continues to maintain her "no holding babies with cords" policy.  I can see the logic.  She has been a great big sister though and has made them some really cool signs, gives everyone a kiss when visiting, continues to decorate the room for their homecoming, and has not repeated the passing out episode.  I think we might make custom onesies this weekend for them that pay homage to their big sis.

Grace started her last camp of the summer this week - it's a singing/acting/general all purpose camp that runs 3 weeks.  She is taking some days off but wouldn't miss today because it was bbq squid day.  This is like a dream come true for Grace as she hasn't met a sea creature she won't eat.  But, really, bbq'd squid???

More later and hopefully some final names.

XOXO - Grace and Jen

  2. You know... they need to have names before you can take them home from the hospital, but that doesn't mean they have to stay that way-- Have you met my son, Matthew, er, I mean, Zachary? haha
(just what you need, more complications!)
