Winter-Lamphere Triplets: Name confusion!! :)

Ok, so the babies names are Margo, Brooke, and Charlotte. Grace has been especially creative on the nickname front ...

We knew that Charlie, Lottie, and Lotta were some nicknames for Charlotte. One of the name books a friend gave us also listed Tottie which we all thought was very funny. Grace said she was going to charge everyone a dollar each time they didn't call her Tottie ... but soon that morphed into Totoro, the name of a very cute character in a Japanese movie she loves. Well, few of us could follow her there ... Grace calls them all whatever she wants to on any given day. I call Charlotte - well, Charlotte! :)

Margo is a derivative of Margaret, of course, which has about a zillion nicknames including Maisie and Daisy (the French word "marguerite" means daisy). Grace had a phase of calling her Maisie. Sofie (our wonderful Danish au pair) and her friend Katrine like to call her Daisy, which is a nickname for the current Danish queen whose name is Margaret (she has a French husband - not sure if he's the king?? :) Sofie also likes to call her Ma-kray-doo, her way of making fun of my lame attempt to say Margaret in Danish. I call her Margo or Emmy (from the M). :)

Brooke is Brooke or often Brookie - which is easy! :)
